Teqtoflow-CG10 - Portable magnetic particle flaw detector

Magnetic Particle Inspection

Specifically designed to detect surface and subsurface defects in ferromagnetic materials, including incomplete fusion, cracks, and flocks.

It plays a crucial role in assessing the structural integrity, strength, and mechanical properties of diverse workpieces, metal structures, and components of railway transport, both during manufacturing and operational phases.

Operating on the principle of magnetization, it magnetizes the test object to uncover various discontinuities, followed by demagnetization for accurate analysis.

Application

  • Building metal structures
  • Gear wheels
  • Cast parts
  • Castings
  • Forgings

Exploitation

The Teqtoflow-CG20 leverages magnetic particle inspection, a widely accepted non-destructive testing method. To conduct the inspection, a special magnetic powder must be applied to the surface under examination.

During magnetization, the control zone exhibits the highest concentration of magnetic field lines directly above the defect. As a result, magnetized powder particles gather in this region, forming a distinct pattern. The density of these particles gradually decreases as they move away from the defect, such as cracks or discontinuities.

Following magnetization, the indicator lines are visually interpreted to determine the localization, orientation, and extent of surface and subsurface defects. This resulting pattern can be compared with reference samples to further analyze the findings of the magnetic particle inspection.
