The Probe N-45 is a specialized tool designed for detecting cracks and measuring their depth, particularly in metal ferromagnetic constructions (detecting stress-corrosive cracks), even when covered by corrosion or protective coatings.
Application
- Pipes, pipelines
- Oil and gas pipelines
- Vessels, pressure vessels
- Objects related to energy production
- Structural details, machinery, and mechanisms
Construction
Constructed with a metal housing and elements for magnetic field excitation and reception, the Probe N-45 features a sensor surface made of zirconium ceramics. It includes two indicators: a red one signaling crack detection and a yellow one indicating changes in protective coating thickness or corrosive damage. The probe is connected to the electronic unit ED-45 Eddy-current flaw detector via a cable.
The ED-45 Eddy-current flaw detector combines magnetic and eddy-current methods for flaw detection, enabling control of products with rough corroded surfaces and measurement through layers of insulating coating without additional readjustment.
Benefits
- Precise detection of cracks and measurement of their depth
- Capability to measure through varying thicknesses of protective coatings
- Reliable indication of changes in coating thickness or corrosive damage
- Easy integration with the electronic unit ED-45 for seamless operation
- Enhanced durability and reliability for industrial applications
The Probe N-45 consists of following: metal housing and elements of excitation and reception of magnetic field. Sensor surface contacting with controlled surface is made of zirconium ceramics.
There are two indicators on the probe: red one signalizing about crack and yellow one signalizing about change of thickness of protective coating (or about corrosive damage).
The cable connects sensor and the electronic unit ED-45 Eddy-current flaw detector. Cable length 115 mm.
ATTENTION!
If you buy only Probe N-45, the ED-45 Eddy-current flaw detector should be sent to the retrofit and alignment.
