Sensor is designed to measure the depth of cracks from 0.5 to 30 mm. This sensor has 4 electrodes, which are arranged in a row.

Sensor «2×2» is designed to work on surfaces with a small distance between cracks.
This sensor has 4 electrodes, which are arranged in two rows.

Sensor «3+1» with external electrode is designed to measure the depth of cracks than 30 mm.

This sensor has 4 electrodes, 3 of which are arranged in one row, and 1 current electrode is external.

The external electrode allows you to increase the voltage, thereby expanding the measurement range of crack depth to 100 mm.

The sample is made of structural carbon steel.

The main characteristics of Test block KO28-1:

  • 3 cracks of different depths were simulated on the KO28-1 sample: 1, 2, and 5 mm.
  • KO28-1 is included in the basic delivery set of the Crack depth meter ET-28 electro potential.

Control sample KO-345 with simulated crack is designed to test the operability of the Eddy-current flaw detector ED-45 and the Crack depth meter ET-28.

The sample is made of structural carbon steel grade No. 20.

Before each use of the device for measuring the depth of cracks on the product, it is necessary to check its operation on a control sample.

The main characteristics of KO-345:

  • A crack with a depth range of 1.8 – 2 mm was simulated on the sample.
  • KO-345 is included in the basic delivery set of the Eddy-current flaw detector ED-45.
