Operational advantages
Verification Procedure: Before each usage, the device should be tested on a control sample to ensure accurate measurements.
Crack depth measurement process:
- Setting the “0”: measuring a flawless location on the object to establish the baseline.
- Measuring crack depth: position the contact electrodes on opposite sides of the crack, and the measurement result in millimeters will be displayed on the screen.
Object requirements:
- Control objects should exhibit surface roughness below or equal to 40 Rz (10 Ra)
- Stable electric contact with the sensor electrodes.
