Crack depth meters
High-precision hand-held instrument designed explicitly for measuring the depth of cracks found on various metals and alloys, including stainless steel and duraluminum, previously detected by other methods.
The Crack Depth Meter operates on the principle of AC electro potential measuring, providing prompt and precise depth testing compared to traditional methods. It works most efficiently in combination with other crack-revealing methods such as magnetic particle, capillary, or eddy-current testing.

Stages of crack depth measuring
- Setting of the “0” – measuring on a flawless location of the object.
- Measuring of crack depth – contact electrodes are positioned on the opposite sides of the crack, and the measurement result in mm is displayed on the screen.
Requirements for control objects
- Surface roughness below or equal to 40 Rz (10 Ra).
- Stable electric contact with the sensor electrodes.
