Probe G for hardness tester TQ-3C

Probe G

For Leeb hardness testers

Probe G is specifically engineered for Rebound (Leeb) hardness tester TQ-3C with increased overall dimensions and impact energy compared to the standard probe “D”.

This specialized probe is designed to facilitate the precise control of materials characterized by high structural heterogeneity, such as cast iron and bronze, particularly on surfaces with high roughness.

Suitable for use only when the hardness level is below 450 HB.

Application

The Probe G is indispensable for hardness testing across a wide range of materials and alloys without requiring additional calibrations. Its versatile application includes:

  • Structural, tool, corrosion-proof, and heat-proof steels and alloys
  • Alloys of nonferrous metals
  • Cast iron, aluminum, bronze, and brass components
  • Items subjected to surface hardening and high-frequency current hardening
  • Complex configurations and heavy-duty items with rough surfaces

Operational advantages

Probe G for hardness tester TQ-3C

The Leeb probe G offers several operational advantages that enhance efficiency and accuracy in hardness testing:

  • Ability to measure hardness in hard-to-reach areas.
  • Insensitivity to the spatial positioning of the probe, ensuring consistent measurement results.
  • Durable housing designed to withstand mechanical stress, ensuring a long service life.

Exploitation

Probe G for hardness tester TQ-3C

When utilizing Probe G, it is essential to adhere to specific requirements and considerations:

  • Control items with high structural heterogeneity, such as cast iron and bronze, and surface roughness Ra not exceeding 7.6.
  • Items heavier than 8 kg and thicker than 55 mm require no additional preparation.
  • For items with a thickness of less than 55 mm, secure them in a vice clamp or on a support plate using fixing paste.
  • Optimal measurement accuracy is achieved when the roughness of the controlled surface falls within the range of Ra from 3.2 to 7.6.
Attention

If you buy only Probe G, the Hardness tester TQ-3C should be sent to the retrofit and alignment.
